There are some very spectacular places to visit and enjoy. Close by is Porthleven a historic harbour village with restaurants, tea rooms and great walks. Helston is 3 miles away a small town that features the famous Flora day where the streets are filled with dancing. Nearby is also the Lizard which is the most southerly point of England with lots to explore, wonderful coves such as Kynnance & Cadgwith. A short drive away is St. Michaels Mount at Marazion, Penzance & St. Ives.
West Cornwall, is very popular with walkers, who love the stunning South West Coast Path, and the wild rugged granite moors of West Penwith, Crown House is between the two coasts, so if it is windy on one coast, you may switch to the calmer one (although the waves won't be as good!) There are also lovely inland areas, a few miles away at Godolphin and Penrose Estate, which are both owned by the National Trust. You can enjoy the Bluebell Woods during spring time at Godolphin, and see both coasts from the top of Godolphin hill on a clear day.
Cornwall, has abundant wildlife, ranging from delicate butterflies to mighty Basking Sharks. There are many wildlife reserves in West Cornwall which are easy to reach from Crown House. You may wish to take a Sea Safari from Penzance, or a simple boat trip from Porthleven, St Ives or Falmouth.
